My latest short film “Brothers in Crime” was finished at the beginning of 2011 but I held onto it for the majority of the year as we were planning to shoot additional episodes and turn it into a web series but things change and here it is for you right now. I may go back to it and expand it or I may not, it really depends on if people are enjoying this tiny slice of the narrative.
The initial inception for this short was to be part of three or four films that would be directed by myself and my friend Illya Klymkiw that all focused on different types of relationships. If my memory serves me correctly the first one was going to be this film about brothers and the second one would be about the boyfriend/girlfriend dynamic (lovers). There would be one about father/son relationships and the final one would be about mother/daughter relationships.
They were all supposed to be dark comedies that border partially on the absurd but they never ended up getting off the ground. Maybe well revisit them in 2012.
I had a lot of fun making this over the course of a weekend and am pleased with how it turned out for such a quick little project.
If you like the short please share it, thanks!
