Kurt Vonnegut: The Art of Fiction No. 64 →
longformorg: This interview with Kurt Vonnegut was originally a composite of four interviews done with the author over the past decade. The composite has gone through an extensive working over by the subject himself, who looks upon his own spoken words on the page with considerable misgivings … indeed, what follows can be considered an interview conducted with himself, by himself. David...

Bessie the Dog
sharikasman: Little Bessie is an obedient pet. One of her best qualities: she “stops.” Also, you won’t need to have someone take care of her when you go on holiday.

Lil B: God's Father | Album Reviews | Pitchfork →
lukesimcoe: Jayson Green’s review of the new Lil B tape is one of better P4K reviews I’ve read in a while. This is likely due to the fact that the subject matter at hand requires one do away with serious business: “Pick any stretch of God’s Father, and you will be mowed over with quotable phrases. It’s like being showered with fortune cookies.” And they are right, it is surprisingly good.

hansonfinger: My 9000-word short story “Climbing into the Sun” will be available from Little Fiction April 4. Exciting! little-fiction: I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again — it’s been an amazing start for Little Fiction. The New Yorker: Takes: Happy 85th Birthday,... →
That was how the first of seven boys and four girls was born in Aracataca on March 6, 1927, in an unseasonable torrential downpour, while the sky of Taurus rose on the horizon. I was almost strangled by the umbilical cord, because the family midwife, Santos Villero, lost her mastery of her art…
